THE pt GROUP is committed to the communities it serves to provide cost-effective physical therapy and related services. Maintaining and expanding employment and employment productivity is one of THE pt GROUP goals through membership in many chambers of commerce.
We have been very active in workers' compensation reform over the years which has improved the business environment in Pennsylvania. Many of the staff have been members of Allegheny County Workers' Compensation Information Exchange and Industry for Workers' Compensation Reform, presenting and organizing efforts to reduce the high costs of workers' compensation and simplify the system and keep jobs in the area.
Many health and community efforts are supported with personal involvement by employees and with donations. Concerts by children's entertainer Frank Cappelli have brought a healthy, positive message to thousands of school children over the years. THE pt GROUP supports many organizations such as the Special Olympics, MS Society, Arthritis Foundation, American Cancer Society and the United Cerebral Palsy in community fund drives and presentations. Many health fairs, mall shows, and exhibitions are also among the ways to educate the public to the benefit of physical therapy.
Education is very important to all at THE pt GROUP. Many therapists have participated in career days at high schools, scholar recognition programs and offered externship opportunities in our centers. In addition, many school sports teams receive contributions from THE pt GROUP.
Dale Cordial, PT, has served on the Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Board overseeing licensing of physical therapists.
Presentations for service and community groups are available by contacting 1-800-783-1008 and asking for Walt Henry, Director of Marketing and Development. |
